A true story from August 2026: 15 travelers from Malta, a flight that was supposed to arrive before midnight, and a long night at Tirana Airport.
Flight delays are a part of traveling, especially in the summer. What makes the difference isn't the delay, but what happens when you finally walk out the arrivals door. Here's how one group that traveled with us experienced it.
It was August 2026. A group of 15 people from Malta had booked a transfer with us from Tirana Airport. Their flight was scheduled to arrive at 23:35. The driver and minibus were at the airport on time.
But the flight was delayed. It passed midnight, then one, two, and three. The plane finally landed at 04:35 in the morning, five hours later than planned.
When the delay is short, the driver waits at the airport. But with a five-hour delay, a better solution was needed. We have our own parking lot near Tirana Airport, so we returned the minibus to the parking lot, instead of having it wait for hours at the airport.
Our team tracked the flight and any changes to the arrival time throughout. This way we knew exactly when we needed to be back at the airport.
When the plane landed, one of our drivers was already in the arrivals hall, holding a sign with the group's name. After a long and tiring night, the group didn't need to look for a taxi, call, or wait any longer. They walked out the door and their transportation was there.
The group was very happy that, even at that early hour of the morning, everything was ready for them.
