About the tour in Southern Albania
This 6-day itinerary connects some of Albania's most beautiful places: Tirana, the bustling capital; Berat and Gjirokastra, two UNESCO-protected museum cities; and Saranda and Ksamil on the Ionian Riviera, with blue water and some of the most famous beaches in the country.
The route also includes two of the most visited attractions in the south: the Blue Eye, a karst spring with crystal blue water, and the Butrint National Park, an ancient city declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, with Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Venetian ruins.

Day 1: Tirana Airport – Tirana
The driver will pick you up at Tirana Airport and take you to your hotel in Tirana, about a 30-minute drive.
Sleeping: Tirana (hotel booked by you)

Day 2: Tirana – Berat
About 2–2.5 hours drive to Berat, the city of „one window over another.” The remaining time is for Kalana and the Mangalem and Gorica neighborhoods.

Day 3: Berat – Gjirokaster – Saranda
About 2.5–3 hours to Gjirokastra, where you have time for the stone city and the castle. Then about 1–1.5 hours to Saranda.

Day 4: Free day in Saranda
Day off at the beach or a stroll through the city, at your own pace. There is no transportation on this day.

Day 5: Blue Eye, Butrint and Ksamil
From Saranda to the Blue Eye, then to Butrint National Park and finally to Ksamil.

About 5–5.5 hours drive to Tirana Airport. Stops may be made along the way, depending on available time and flight schedule.

How much does the 6-day trip from Tirana cost?
The price depends on the size of the group (up to 7, up to 16 or up to 19 people) and the dates of the trip. It includes private transportation with a driver according to the itinerary, fuel, parking and road taxes. Hotels and a guide, if requested, are calculated separately. Send us the dates and number of people and we will confirm the final price.

Are there tour guides?
As standard, the tour is self-guided: the driver takes you to each destination and you do the sightseeing yourself. If you wish, we can book a tour guide for you as an optional service.
Is there transportation on the day off in Saranda?
No. Day 4 is a free day for rest and does not include transportation. If you would like an additional trip on that day, please let us know when you book.
Are food and entrance tickets included?
No. Food, drinks and tickets for forts, museums, Butrint National Park and other attractions are paid separately.
Can we stop along the way on the last day?
Yes. From Ksamil to Tirana Airport, stops may be made along the way, depending on available time and flight schedule.
